Service Enterprises, Inc., in an effort to meet the ever-changing needs of the people it serves, offers a variety of service options. In 2007, SEI served 213 people.

  

Day Training and Habilitation (DT&H)  provides assessment, individual vocational and personal planning, work skills training, supported employment, personal care, self-help, and leisure training, at a variety of community activities.

 

LEAP (Life Enrichment Activity Program previously known as LAFS) offers access community resources, including planning community outings, transportation, assistance in handling money and training in social skills and interactions with others in the community through various volunteer opportunities.  Services in LEAP focus on physical health and interactive activities such as promoting exercise, walking and nutrition, discussion and reading groups, craft activities, cooking and gardening, as well as learning new leisure interests such as developing computer skills.

 

Extended Employment Basic (EE) has two components: community employment and supported employment. The EE program provides individual vocational planning, job seeking and retention skills, on-the-job training, and indefinite employment support for the client.

 

Waiver Employment Supports (WES), provides community employment support for a person who qualifies for services under a waiver. The WES program provides job placement and indefinite job coaching for a person in a community job. This may be individual placement or placement on a crew or enclave.

 

Extended Employment (EE/SMI) Project PLACE provides job seeking and retention skills training, job placement, job coaching, and follow-up for persons with serious mental illness in need of employment services. Click to read more about Project PLACE.

 

School-to-Work Transition Program provides special education students assessment, work experience, work readiness, and vocational planning.  It is customized to meet the vocational goal of the individual student and to provide experience in a variety of settings, including community employment.

 

Situational Assessment, Job Coaching, and Job Placement provide work experience, job-seeking support, and job maintenance support, and are time limited.

 

Supported Employment Services (SES) provides indefinite individualized community employment support for a person who qualifies for services under the MR/RC Waiver. The SES program provides job placement and indefinite job coaching for a single person in a community job. This program cannot be used for crews or enclaves.

 

 

Referrals for the SEI Programs are accepted from the Rehab Service Branch, State Services for the Blind, area County Human Services, schools and other cooperating agencies.
